As an empath, I was so often overwhelmed and consumed by the pain and suffering of those around me. I didn't feel good in my body unless I was able to appease everyone else's pain first, which was a very large task.
I didn't know what to expect from the Empathy Heals course and thought it would help me help others. But what I found is that week by week I was shedding layers of pain and overwhelm and growing in my strength and power. I was healing my core emotional wounds so that I could be in the presence of other's pain and still be okay. I could actually show them that it was possible to feel better.
Shelly's course is not like any other course you will ever take. It's not all didactic learning. It's very much an immersive experience of personal healing. It's like the food that my soul was starving to receive but didn't know how to get before. It has changed my life on every level.
I've learned to put my needs first to be my full authentic self and life gets so much easier from there. I now approach the world as a strong, powerful person who can be in a world of hurting but not taken down by it. I am seeing how I have a role to actually help it heal!
