Going through a hard time?

We see you, and we’re sorry you are hurting. You’re not alone and we’re here to help you through this. Take a deep breath, and receive the empathy your heart longs for through this 1-minute meditation. Let it remind you that you get to be held through every difficult moment of life.

 

Meditation

Before starting the meditation, take two consecutive inhales followed by an exhale. Repeat this five times to settle your nervous system, allowing it to absorb the meditation.

Find a comfortable, quiet space, and press play.

 

Rest

After the meditation, let yourself bask in a sense of inner peace. When you’re ready, complete the integration exercises below.


Mirror Affirmation

To ground your healing in the present moment, we will do a mirror affirmation. Look at yourself in the mirror, in the eye, and say aloud five to ten times:

“I am deeply loved and supported.

I receive all the love and support that is here for me now, and is here to stay.

I am held in the arms of love.

I matter so much in this world.

I am okay now.

I love you and I’m going to love you through this.”

Reflection

Grab a journal or download the fillable PDF below, and reflect:

  • How did it feel to listen to the meditation? Did any emotions, thoughts, images, or physical sensations arise?

  • How did it feel to say the affirmation to yourself in the mirror? Did any emotions or physical sensations arise? Did the words feel possible or true?

  • Are there any positive feelings from your experience? If yes, spend 1 minute in gratitude for them. Make sure you feel the gratitude with a warmth in your heart.
